Reaping the Benefits

A few weeks ago I showed you pictures of my vegetable garden. I am now proud to show you the delightful salad which was enjoyed by everyone, with lettuce that came straight out of the garden. You can not beat that freshly picked taste and the satisfaction of knowing that you grew it!

    Nothing - but nothing on earth tastes better than freshly picked salad.

    I love to have salad with every meal - seriously! I need that crunch and if I am an addict, so be it.

    Just - Not the worst addiction you can have! We usually have either soup or salad to start our meal, depending on the weather.

    Hey - well done you! I have a whole bunch of tomatoes still on the vine, but if they don't get some sun soon, I will have to pick them green and make jam or something... We also have a lone butternut which I fear for - but hey, the important thing is that we tried! At least the chillies on the window sill are going great guns :)

    Jeanne - With all the rain we've had I think my lettuce will soon be soup! At least we can always count on the chillies!
