Holiday Food

New Year's Eve - the eclipse of the moon.
Not a great photo, but spectacular.

We're still on holiday - eating, eating and more eating. No complaining, next week - back to work and boot-camp!

Our New Year's Eve Braai (BBQ), served with (amongst other things) a family favourite - Potato and Butternut Bake.

Mom always makes the trifle - Christmas and New Year would not be the same without it.

  2. Love the picture of the moon! We spent our New Year's Eve dinner watching it out of the window for the eclipse too, but have only got a photo of it before the eclipse showed.

  6. Wonderful looking fare! Will have to try adding butternut to potato casserole...sounds great! A guest brought a gorgeous trifle to our Boxing Day bash...looked a lot like your Mom's. Custard on the bottom, fruit flavored gelatin, fruit and whipped cream. yummy!
